General Requirements to Qualify for Apprenticeship Program
- Must be a GCPH for at least 3 months when the opening for an apprenticeship is posted
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have high school diploma or GED
- Possess basic essential aptitudes
- Must be physically able to safely perform the work required in the trade
- Clean driving record

15 correspondence courses
7,500 On-the-job training hours
Learn side-by-side from experienced, knowledgeable professionals who are eager to share their knowledge and to help you become the next generation of master plumbers.
We partner with vendors and distributors to provide valuable on-the-job and continuing-education training for our staff.
At times, that training requires our employees to travel. When that is the case, Garden City Plumbing & Heating covers the cost of traveling and the associated costs with various certifications.

Our HVAC apprenticeship program takes approximately three years to complete. The program includes 6,000 hours of on-the-job training, and corresponds with 9 courses through MSU-Northern.
